Courses: Emergency Social Services Director


Course Details:
Learn about the role of an ESS Director (ESSD) in BC and how it fits into a community?s overall emergency management plan. Participants will learn about the skills and abilities required for the ESSD position, examine the ESSD?s responsibilities before, during, and after a response, and explore the support structures and resources that can help ESSDs fulfill these responsibilities. The course will be of particular interest to newly appointed ESS directors, deputies, and alternates. Other emergency management personnel, such as emergency program coordinators, support organization staff, and Emergency Management BC staff would also find this course of value. (Formerly ESS181)
